Survey Disclaimer
The Identifying Our Needs: A Survey of Elders is provided by the National Resource Center on Native American Aging (NRCNAA) only. This survey is specific to the NRCNAA, whereas the Native Elder Maltreatment Survey is written by, administered by, and used by the National Indigenous Elder Justice Initiative Innovation Program (NIEJI). We are separate indigenous programs with different missions and visions. The NRCNAA has always had a mission to identify and increase awareness of evolving Native elder health and social needs and to empower Native people to develop community based solutions; whereas, NIEJI’s purpose is to offer research, education, and training to prevent elder abuse in Indigenous communities.
