Mary Ann O'Meara

Mary Ann O'Meara is a tribal liaison with the Center for Rural Health (CRH) at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Grand Forks.

Mary Ann works with the National Resource Center on Native American Aging and the Resource Center on Native Aging and Disability where she provides outreach, technical assistance, and project support to tribal communities. Her work helps strengthen culturally responsive long-term services and supports and home and community-based services for Native Elders. Before joining CRH, Mary Ann worked with the Bureau of Indian Education's Behavioral Health and Wellness Program as a quality control specialist.

Originally from Newaygo, Michigan, Mary Ann earned a bachelor's degree in community health education from Central Michigan University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan. She also has professional experience in health communications, behavioral health programming, project coordination, and community-focused public health initiatives.
